Fiji

Fiji is the most straightforward of the South Pacific destinations: direct flights from Los Angeles and Australia into Nadi, then a boat or a short flight to the island. The Mamanucas and Yasawas are closest; Vanua Levu and Taveuni are further and quieter; several private island resorts take a single group. It is unusually good for families, with kids' clubs that are genuinely staffed, and equally good for a honeymoon at the adults only properties. May to October is drier.
