Scottish Highlands

The Highlands reward a week and a car. Speyside and the Cairngorms have the whisky and the estates; the west coast around Torridon and Applecross has the mountains meeting the sea; Skye is beyond. Hotels range from sporting lodges that still arrange stalking and fishing to a handful of very good small country houses. May and June have the light and fewer midges; September and October have the colour and the stags. We arrange the car, the ghillie and the distillery visits that are not open to the public.
