Zanzibar

Zanzibar is the standard finish to an East African safari and works on its own for a week. Stone Town, a World Heritage site, deserves a night and a guide. The north around Nungwi has the beaches that stay swimmable at low tide; the east is quieter with wider tidal flats; the private islands off the north are a boat ride away. Dry seasons are June to October and December to February. The island is Muslim, and we will brief you on dress away from the resorts.
