Suyian Homestead sits within Suyian Conservancy in Laikipia, northern Kenya, on 17,806 hectares (44,000 acres) of unfenced wilderness. Mt Kenya is visible on the horizon, and the Ewaso Narok River runs through the property. Ancient kopjes rise from the grassland, and a Rock Sanctuary marks the centre of the land. Samburu guides lead across ancestral trails, and lions move through the shadows of the conservancy.
The homestead is built as a sole-use safari residence for up to ten guests, with a Master Suite and four Suites arranged around shared courtyards and verandas. The Master Suite measures 84 square metres and sleeps up to two guests, with its own sitting area, dressing space and outdoor courtyard. Each of the four Suites measures 49 square metres and also sleeps up to two adults. Fireplaces, ensuite bathrooms, courtyards and outdoor spaces are built into every suite, and no two are alike. The architecture draws on stone, reclaimed timber and natural plaster, with handcrafted furniture and Samburu artefacts throughout.
A rim-flow swimming pool, a family-style house kitchen, and a bar and sitting room anchor the shared spaces of the home, alongside a private gym and a dedicated yoga space. A private vehicle, guide, chef, housekeeper and hosting team are assigned to every stay. Days can include twice-daily game drives, guided nature walks, horseback riding safaris, camel walks, active ranching with local herders, and visits to the surrounding community. Wellness treatments can be arranged in the suite, on the veranda or by the pool. Suyian Homestead is scheduled to open in June 2027.
