El Questro Homestead sits within El Questro Wilderness Park, on the Chamberlain River in Western Australia's East Kimberley. The suites are built into burnt-orange cliffs above the gorge, with cantilevered bedrooms over the water and views across the surrounding ranges. The Homestead is an adults-only retreat, and one of four accommodation options across the wider El Questro property, which covers close to 700,000 acres.
A stay here is all-inclusive. The rate covers gourmet meals three times a day, a selection of wine, beer, basic spirits and a mini bar in the room, plus a set of Homestead guest experiences: a Chamberlain Gorge Cruise, the Bush Nature & Natives Tour, sunset at Buddy's Point, guided walks to nearby gorges, the Injiid Marlabu Calls Us cultural experience with the Ngarinyin Traditional Owners, and complimentary access to Zebedee Thermal Springs each afternoon. The El Questro Visitor Permit is included too. Additional charges apply for wines from the Cellar Master Wine List, air tours and any specialty or private touring. Helicopter transfers are reserved for guests staying at the Homestead.
Breakfast and lunch are served on a veranda overlooking Chamberlain Gorge; dinner moves to a communal table under a shaded awning, with a modern Australian menu that changes daily and draws on produce from the Ord River Valley. Accommodation ranges from the Chamberlain Suite, cantilevered over the edge of the gorge, to the Cliffside Retreats, Gorgeview Rooms and Homestead Rooms, each sleeping two. Groups can take the whole property under Homestead Exclusive Use, a ten-suite hideaway for up to twenty guests.
