Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the larger and slower of the two emirates people visit. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi are the set pieces, Saadiyat has the beaches and the museums, and Yas has the circuit and the parks. The Empty Quarter begins a couple of hours inland and is a different trip entirely. It is about an hour and a half from Dubai by road, so the two pair easily. The season is the winter, from October to April; the summer is very hot and humid.
