Utah & the Southwest

Southern Utah is canyon and mesa country: Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands and Arches within driving distance of each other, and the slot canyons and Lake Powell around Page on the Arizona border. It is a landscape that suits a few days of driving and walking, with light that photographers plan around. Northern Utah is a different trip, with Park City and Deer Valley taking dry snow through the winter. Spring and autumn are right for the desert; summer is very hot in the canyons.
