Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is on Barclay Street in Tribeca, occupying the first 24 floors of an 82-storey tower designed by Robert A.M. Stern. The limestone and concrete exterior stands out against the Lower Manhattan skyline. The address puts guests within walking distance of the World Trade Center, SoHo, the West Village, Seaport and the Financial District.

Inside, design firm Yabu Pushelberg set out to create a deliberately asymmetrical look, with hairpin turns, imposing staircases and stone and marble recurring through the rooms, spa and pool. The hotel lists 19 accommodation categories, from guest rooms of around 37 square metres to the 223-square-metre Empire Suite, which occupies half of the top floor. Three suites, the Gotham Terrace, Tribeca and Metropolis, open onto private terraces. Several of the residential-style suites, including the Greenwich and Trinity two-bedroom suites, sit on the 21st and 22nd floors and use marble kitchenettes and separate living areas.

CUT by Wolfgang Puck, the chef's first Manhattan restaurant, sits just off the lobby and serves a steakhouse menu built around meat, fish and vegetarian options sourced from local purveyors, fishermen and farmers. In-Room Dining runs around the clock with no set meal periods. The spa offers more than 30 treatments using 111SKIN, Augustinus Bader and Omorovicza products, alongside a 75-foot lap pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and the Club 27 wellness space.
