فندق · Coorg, India
A 76-acre coffee plantation retreat in the Kodagu highlands of Coorg, with guided forest trails, five villa categories and an all-day restaurant overlooking a lake.
The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary sits across 76 acres of coffee and spice plantation in the Kodagu highlands of Karnataka, bordered by forest trails and Kodava farming land. Guided morning walks trace the plantation as it wakes, and separate night walks follow the same paths after dark, timed to the rhythms of the forest rather than a fixed schedule.
Accommodation is organised into five villa categories: Forestlight Luxury Villa, Mistwood Pool Villa, Riverstone Family Villa, Sunbeam Presidential Villa and Windchimes Duplex Villa. The Forestlight Luxury Villa, the only one described in detail on the property's own pages, covers 3,200 sq. ft. and is built for two guests. It opens through turquoise doors into an alfresco living and dining area with a koi pond, a forest hammock and a private therapy pavilion fitted with twin treatment beds. Outdoors, a temperature-controlled Jacuzzi connects to an infinity-edge pool, and the bedroom faces the pool directly, allowing a guest to step from the room into the water.
Dining runs through four outlets: Luma, Zen, 92 Degrees and The Cellar Lounge Bar. Luma, the all-day restaurant, seats 180 people opposite the property's lake, with views over the Kodagu hills. Its menu is built around Kodava cooking and the wider flavours of Karnataka, alongside global comfort dishes, served across four daily sittings: breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. The property's own site also describes it as a pet friendly resort.
