فندق · Osaka, Japan
A 291-room hotel in Osaka's Umeda business district, with interiors styled on an 18th-century British residence and a Michelin-starred French restaurant.
The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka occupies a tower in Umeda, Kita-ku, with guest rooms and suites running from the 24th to the 37th floor. It was Japan's first Ritz-Carlton and has operated for more than twenty-five years. A 2024 renovation kept the European classic interiors, reworked around a theme the hotel calls the Harmony of 18th-Century Elegance and Osaka's Culinary Culture, while updating comfort and finishes. The hotel holds around 450 pieces of art on display, and a daily art tour at 5:00 p.m. takes guests through the collection, ending with a drink inspired by Osaka. The property has 291 guest rooms in total, including a Japanese Suite built around tatami, tateiwa stone and a granite soaking tub, and a 233-square-metre Ritz-Carlton Suite with its own dining room, parlor and kitchen.
Dining runs to six restaurants and bars. La Baie, the French restaurant, holds one star in the Michelin Guide Kyoto Osaka 2026. Hanagatami serves kaiseki, sushi, tempura and sumibiyaki from a seven-metre cypress sushi counter; Xiang Tao covers Cantonese and regional Chinese cooking; Splendido handles breakfast and Italian food on the first floor. The Bar stocks 460 beverages, including more than 100 malt whiskies, and the Lobby Lounge serves tea, coffee and evening cocktails with live piano. The Ritz-Carlton Gourmet Shop sells breads, pastries, chocolates and wine to take away.
Club-level guests have access to a Club Lounge on the 34th floor, laid out across five areas with five food presentations through the day and views over the Osaka skyline. The spa uses ESPA products alongside treatments built around local ingredients, such as a matcha-based facial and a sake-based body treatment, plus a garden, steam rooms and saunas. The hotel has an indoor pool, two Jacuzzis and a 24-hour gym. It holds Green Key certification for its environmental practices, and in 2026 received a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for the fourth consecutive year, the only hotel in Osaka to hold this award that year.
