Mykonos

Mykonos is the busiest of the Cyclades and divides opinion for good reason. The south coast beaches hold the clubs; the north is windier and quieter; the hotels above Agios Ioannis and Houlakia have the sunsets. The old town is genuinely beautiful at seven in the morning and impassable at seven in the evening. July and August are at capacity. June and September give the same sea with room to move. Delos, the archaeological island, is a short boat ride and worth the morning.
