Gstaad Palace
A family-run hotel above Gstaad village, in the same hands since 1947, with 90 rooms, an alpine spa and a nightclub dating from 1971.

Gstaad Palace has stood above the village of Gstaad since 1913, when it opened as the resort's first hotel. The Scherz family bought the property in 1947 and has run it for three generations since; Andrea Scherz, the third generation, has been General Manager since 2001. The hotel belongs to Leading Hotels of the World. Geneva and Zurich airports are each two to two and a half hours away by car, and Gstaad's own airport is five kilometres from the hotel, reachable by private jet with Fly7. Trains run direct from stations across Switzerland.
The hotel has 90 rooms and suites, each with its own layout and view: guests look out over the Palace Garden, the Wildhorn and Oldenhorn peaks, the Wispile, or the village itself. Room sizes run from 28 square metres in the Cosy Room to 240 square metres in the Penthouse Suite, which has a 150 square metre roof terrace. Some rooms have a private balcony, a patio, a corner turret or a jacuzzi, and an entire floor can be booked by a single party.
Spa and sport facilities include an indoor pool, refurbished in 2022, and the outdoor «PISCINE», built in 1928 and given a new informal food concept in 2021. There is a gym, tennis courts and a hairdresser on site. The GreenGo nightclub has operated since 1971 and keeps its original interior by Teo Jakob. The hotel also owns an alpine hut on Alp Walig, built in 1783 at 1700 metres, used for guest excursions since 2009. Dogs and cats staying with their owners are looked after with their own board.
