Soneva Secret sits in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, reached only by boat. The resort is built around thirteen villas, spread across the island and the surrounding lagoon so that no two guests share a view. There are no neighbouring resorts in sight. Villas fall into three settings: Sea Loft villas standing directly over the ocean, Overwater villas facing the lagoon, and Beach villas set into the island itself, each with its own private pool.

Dining follows no fixed schedule. Primitive serves Maldivian food cooked over fire by the shoreline, and Out of This World pairs refined dining with rare wines at an overwater observatory beneath the stars. Wellbeing is delivered to the villa rather than a fixed spa building, through the signature So Secret ritual, Pamper Around the Clock treatments, and a guided programme called The Six Doors.

The surrounding waters hold manta rays, dolphins, turtles and coral reefs. The resort organises snorkelling with pools of up to fifty manta rays, reef, wreck and freediving trips, and ocean safaris in search of larger marine life. Families travelling with children have access to The Den, a space set aside for play and discovery. Guests who want the island entirely to themselves can reserve Soneva Secret for exclusive use, taking the island, the ocean and the staff as their own.
