لا تشبه سيشل أي مكان آخر: صخور غرانيت وردية على رمل أبيض، وأشجار تاكاماكا حتى حد الماء، وجزر داخلية خضراء حتى القمة. في ماهي وبراسلين تنوّع الفنادق؛ وفي الجزر الخاصة، بعضها على بعد ساعة بالقارب أو رحلة قصيرة، منتجع واحد وغالباً شاطئ تعشعش فيه السلاحف. البحر هادئ على جانب من كل جزيرة أو الآخر حسب الموسم، وهذا يهم للسباحة وسنشرحه. تتناغم عشرة أيام مع بضع ليالٍ في دبي أو الدوحة في الطريق.
