Vienna

Vienna is a city for four nights: the Kunsthistorisches and the Albertina, the Hofburg and Schönbrunn, and an opera or concert most evenings of the season. The grand hotels sit on or just inside the Ringstrasse, within walking distance of everything. Coffee houses are institutions rather than cafés and should be treated as such. Christmas markets fill December. Spring and early autumn are the comfortable months.
