نظرة عامة

Capelongue stands on the edge of the Claparèdes plateau above Bonnieux, with views across the Petit Luberon to the village below. The hotel has been awarded a Michelin Key and was ranked second Best Hotel in France in the Conde Nast Readers' Choice Awards. Architecture is by JAUNE, with gardens designed by Atelier Lamarck; local artists and craftspeople, including the painter Arsene Welkin, the ceramicist Florence Lucchini and the basketmaker Gabriel Thiney, have contributed pieces across the property.

There are 57 rooms and suites, no two quite alike, with three adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Categories range from Prestige rooms of 24 to 33 square metres through to Suite Luberon, a 102-square-metre farmhouse with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the largest suite on the property. Most open onto a balcony or terrace facing the gardens, the Petit Luberon or Bonnieux.

Two restaurants work from the same Provençal produce in different registers: La Bastide, which holds a Michelin star, and La Bergerie, built around wood-fired cooking. The spa opened this season with a Roman bath, a cold bath and a hammam, three treatment rooms including one double, and a relaxation room, with treatments by Susanne Kaufmann and Biologique Recherche. Guests have the choice of two outdoor pools, a 25-metre lap pool in the upper gardens and a second pool facing the lavender field and the hills of Bonnieux, plus a padel court and a fitness room equipped with Technogym and Therabody kit.
