Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden occupies a building on Avenida da Liberdade, in central Lisbon, and opened in September 2014. The style draws on London and New York townhouses: a classical, restrained decor punctuated by contemporary furniture, artworks, antiques and dense-coloured walls set against lighter fabrics. The hotel treats its interior more like a private residence than a conventional property, and takes both leisure and business guests.

Rooms are spread across the original building and a newer wing, and run from the Quarto Classic, between 25 and 30 square metres with a Queen-size bed and views over the hotel patio or Rua de São José, up to the Suite Valverde on the sixth floor, around 55 square metres, with views over the rooftops of Lisbon and Castelo de São Jorge. The newer wing holds the Classic Garden and Deluxe Garden rooms, each with a balcony of around 7 square metres overlooking the patio, along with the Suite São José, around 47 square metres, with a King-size bed, an antique bathtub and a view of Rua de São José. Junior Suites, on the second to fifth floors facing Avenida da Liberdade, are around 43 square metres and include a closet.

The Bougain Restaurant & Garden Bar is entered through the hotel garden and serves Mediterranean-inspired cooking, with house classics and suggestions from the chef. Lunch runs from 12.30 to 15.00, a bar and garden menu from 15.00 to 18.00, and dinner from 19.00 to 24.00. The wine list runs to more than 130 labels, and the bar also serves cocktails, snacks, light dishes, desserts and afternoon tea. The hotel is part of the Relais & Chateaux collection.
