Mexico

Mexico gives two very different coasts. Los Cabos, at the tip of Baja, is desert meeting the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez, with golf, whale watching between December and April, and a short flight from Los Angeles. The Riviera Maya, south of Cancún, has the Caribbean, the second largest reef in the world, cenotes and the Mayan sites at Tulum and Chichén Itzá. Both have excellent hotels. Hurricane season runs June to November on the Caribbean side.
