Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, occupies a stretch of coastline in Puerto Los Cabos, San José del Cabo, where the Baja desert meets the Sea of Cortés. It is the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Mexico. The property holds 113 rooms, suites and villas, each with a view of the sea, and interiors built around art, textiles and finishes made by Mexican artisans from Oaxaca, Yucatán, Campeche, Mexico City, Jalisco and Puebla. Sliding glass doors connect rooms to private terraces, and some categories include a plunge pool or swim-up access.
Dining runs across three restaurants. HUMO serves grilled Baja land and sea dishes with ocean views and firepits. El Barrio offers Mexican home cooking and beachfront outdoor tables, open for breakfast and dinner. X - Equis at Zadún focuses on ceviche and cocktails in a more casual setting. Candil Agave Bar pours cocktails built around agave spirits, and Azul Café serves coffee, juices and pastries through the day. Wellness is handled by Sensei, the programme founded by Larry Ellison and Dr David Agus, with private consultations in fitness, nutrition, meditation, mindset and sleep, alongside group classes and a temazcal ceremony. Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club, five minutes from the hotel, has three courses designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus, totalling 27 holes, framed by the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the sea.
The Grand Reserve Villa is the largest accommodation, a two-story beachfront villa with five guestrooms and room for up to 10 guests, built for a family or group travelling together with its own residential-style space. Families with children can join Guardians of Baja, a programme built around three characters representing the ocean, coast and desert, with separate activities for ages 5 to 12 and 9 to 16. The resort holds Green Key certification, a 2024 Michelin Two Keys rating and AAA Five Diamond inspection status.
