Rio has the most dramatic setting of any large city and hotels along Copacabana and Ipanema that make the most of it. A guide and driver for the first day covers Christ the Redeemer, Santa Teresa and the Sugarloaf cable car at sunset; after that the beaches, the botanical garden and the restaurants of Leblon take care of themselves. Carnival in February and New Year on the beach are the peaks and book a year ahead. We arrange the security minded logistics that make the city relaxed, and the onward trip to Iguazu, the Amazon or the beaches of Bahia.
