Beau-Rivage Palace stands on the shore of Lake Geneva in Lausanne, opened in 1861 at the start of the Belle Époque. The hotel is a short walk from its sister properties Hotel Angleterre and Château d'Ouchy, and sits about 45 minutes' drive from Geneva International Airport. Montreux is roughly 35 minutes away by car and the vineyards of Lavaux are about 15 minutes' drive.
The hotel's suites are each named and individually styled: Riviera, Spa, Duplex, Art Déco, Panoramic, Malmaison, Royal and Imperial. Several open onto private balconies or terraces facing Lake Geneva and the Alps. The Imperial Suite has one of the largest private hotel terraces in Switzerland, the Duplex Suite spans two floors with two bedrooms and was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, and the Spa Suite includes its own Guerlain spa with hammam, steam shower and hot tub.
Dining runs across four restaurants and two bars. Pic au Beau-Rivage Palace holds two Michelin stars and serves lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. Café Beau-Rivage offers brasserie classics daily, Kaigan serves Japanese cuisine including sushi and teppanyaki Tuesday to Saturday, and La Terrasse serves breakfast and brunch with lake views. A seasonal summer restaurant, Ô Terrasse, opens by the water in warmer months. The Guerlain Spa covers 1,500 square metres, with one spa suite for two, eight treatment rooms, a relaxation room, two changing areas with hammam, sauna, ice cave and ice fountain, a hairdressing studio, and heated indoor and outdoor pools, open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
