Java is the Indonesia most visitors miss on the way to Bali. Yogyakarta is the cultural capital, with a working sultan's palace, batik workshops and the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan within an hour. A hotel in the hills near Borobudur puts you at the temple for sunrise before the gates open to the public. Further east, Mount Bromo's dawn view across the volcanic plain is one of Asia's great sights. We arrange the private access, the driver and a guide, and connect it with Bali for a two island trip.
