Preferred partners

The programmes behind the breakfast and the upgrade.

The hotel programmes we belong to, what they add to a stay, and the properties in our portfolio each one covers.

A hotel preferred partner programme is an arrangement between a hotel group and a small number of agencies. We book directly with the group, the group adds amenities to the reservation, and the rate is the same one the hotel is offering. We take our commission from the hotel, so a hotel reservation costs you nothing to arrange.

What follows is every programme we hold and the properties in the portfolio it covers. Benefits apply to qualifying rates and room categories and are subject to availability. An upgrade is always at the property's discretion on the day, and your proposal will say which benefits apply before you accept it.

Questions

What is a hotel preferred partner programme?
It is an arrangement between a hotel group and a small number of travel agencies. The agency books directly with the group, and the group adds amenities to the reservation that are not available when you book the room yourself. The programmes are not open to the public and most are invitation only.
Does booking through a preferred partner cost more?
No. We book the same rate the hotel offers and take our commission from the hotel, not from you. We charge no fee on a hotel reservation. What the programme adds sits on top of the rate.
What do the benefits usually include?
Daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade on arrival subject to availability, a property credit where the house offers one, early check in and late check out on request, and a welcome amenity. Your travel agent is known to the general manager, which is usually what makes the difference on the day.
Are the benefits guaranteed?
The breakfast and the credit are contractual on a qualifying rate. An upgrade is at the property's discretion on the day and depends on what is unsold, so no honest agency will promise one. We tell you which benefits apply to your reservation in the written proposal before you accept it.
Do the benefits apply to every rate?
No. They apply to qualifying rates and room categories. A non refundable or heavily discounted rate booked elsewhere will usually not qualify, which is worth knowing before you compare two numbers that are not the same thing.
