Overview
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti sits in Central Serengeti, inside Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. The lodge has 77 rooms, suites and villas, each with a balcony or terrace facing the savannah. A number of rooms, suites and the Presidential Villa look directly onto a natural watering hole, where elephants, buffalo and other animals gather through the day.
Game drives leave from the lodge with local Maasai guides, and a 90-minute walking safari, led by a resident naturalist alongside Maasai guides and park rangers, includes installing a camera trap to record passing wildlife. Guests can also take a hot-air balloon flight over the plains at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush, or arrange a private photo safari for two to six people with wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks.
Five free-standing villas make up the lodge's Private Villa Experience, each with a 24-hour personal attendant and the option of in-villa dining arranged with the kitchen. The lodge has four restaurants: Nuru for African-inspired and international dishes, Maji Bar and Terrace for cocktails and light meals, Boma Grill for an open-air African feast, and The Vineyard, a private wine cellar for a set menu with wine pairing. A spa overlooking the Serengeti offers treatments drawing on local ingredients such as baobab oil, alongside a 24-hour fitness centre and yoga classes.
