Six Senses Zighy Bay sits on a private sandy beach in Oman's Musandam Peninsula, between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman. The resort is a 60-minute drive from Dubai, reached through the Dibba Border, a land crossing jointly controlled by the UAE and Oman; guests should check visa requirements for both countries before travelling. The property is built as a village of stone and timber, its lanes lined with villas and suites that each have a private pool, a traditional summer house and high cobblestone walls for privacy.
Villas range from the 82 square metre Pool Villa, with a sand garden view, and its beachfront counterpart, up to two-bedroom duplex suites of 218 square metres. At the top of the range, The Retreat is a three-bedroom beachfront villa of 1,122 square metres, and The Private Reserve is a four-bedroom enclave of 3,000 square metres spread across three buildings, with its own beach, a 17-metre pool, a majlis with indoor cinema and a kitchen for a private chef.
Dining runs from Summer House, an all-day terrace restaurant by the pool, to Spice Market for Arabic breakfast and dinner, Mezzeria for beachfront Italian and Greek dishes, and Sense on the Edge, set 293 metres above the bay for farm-to-table menus and sunset views. Shua Shack serves Bedouin-style lamb from an underground oven on the beach twice a week, and the Wine Cellar hosts tastings for up to eight guests. The spa has nine treatment rooms, two Arabian hammams, an organic garden and an Alchemy Bar for making personal scrubs and oils, alongside programmes built around fitness, sleep, detox and weight management. Beyond the resort, guests can paraglide in from 293 metres above the bay, dive the reefs of the Gulf of Oman, or take the Dhahab dhow on overnight voyages along the Musandam coast. The resort also supports the local Dibba community, including the Sakina Bint Al Hussein girls' school and the Dibba Women Association, founded in 2015.
