Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a small island with a great deal in it: the cultural triangle at Sigiriya and Dambulla, the hill country and tea estates around Nuwara Eliya reached by one of the best train journeys in Asia, national parks with leopard at Yala and Wilpattu, and beaches on both coasts. The monsoons alternate, so the south west coast is best December to March and the east coast May to September. Ten to fourteen days covers the island with a driver.
