Aman New York is set in the Crown Building, a landmark structure dating to 1921 at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The building was once the first home of the Museum of Modern Art and has been fully restored, with interiors designed by Jean-Michel Gathy. Its lower floors house flagship stores of established brands, while the upper floors hold the hotel itself, close to Central Park.
The hotel comprises 83 contemporary suites. Suites and Signature Suites each have a functioning fireplace, Japanese-inspired interiors and an en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking tub. On the upper floors, One-, Two- and Three-Bedroom Homes offer residential-style living, with open-plan dining and living spaces, contemporary kitchens and access via a dedicated lift bank.
The 14th floor holds the hotel's two dining venues, Arva, focused on Italian cuisine, and Akari, built around Japan's washoku tradition. A subterranean Jazz Club operates at night with live performances, cocktails and late-night food, and a year-round Garden Terrace sits within the building. Aman Spa New York spans three floors and more than 2,300 square metres, with massage treatment rooms, a hammam steam room, a banya sauna and a Novak Djokovic detox programme among its wellness offerings.
