Resort · Jackson Hole, United States
Amangani stands atop East Gros Ventre Butte above Jackson Hole, built from redwood and sandstone in the spirit of the Old West, and is currently closed for refurbishment ahead of its reopening.
Amangani sits atop East Gros Ventre Butte in the foothills of the Tetons, close to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, looking out over the Snake River Valley and the Grand Teton range. Built from redwood and sandstone, the resort takes its architectural cues from the pioneering spirit of the Old West. Amangani is currently closed for an extensive refurbishment and is due to reopen in a new era, though no date has been given.
Suites each have a balcony or terrace, a fireplace and views of the Grand Tetons. The resort's homes, set into the hillside, are built from wood and stone, with lofty-ceilinged kitchens, living and dining spaces that also frame the mountains. Dining centres on The Grill, the resort's main restaurant, where the kitchen draws on regional ingredients to shape a new American menu. Wellness options include private yoga and Pilates sessions, deep-tissue massage and Himalayan salt scrub treatments, suited to a day of wildlife treks or a day's skiing.
Jackson Hole offers alpine and cross-country skiing, nature treks, winter wildlife tours, dog sledding and snowshoeing in the colder months, with access to two national parks for summer adventures. Events and weddings can take over the entire resort, with a buy-out accommodating between 50 and 75 guests for a private mountain setting. Amangani is a short drive from Jackson Hole Airport, functions as an Authorized Permittee of the National Park Service, and offers private jet transfers through partner RYL Jets.
