Hotel · Nekoma, Japan
A 63-room bunk lodge in Sarashina, Bandai-machi, Fukushima, a 15-minute walk from the South Area slopes of NEKOMA Mountain.
BunkLodge NEKOMA opens in Sarashina, Bandai-machi, in Fukushima's Yama-gun district, a 15-minute walk from the South Area of NEKOMA Mountain. The lodge is built for snowboarders and skiers who want to ride back to their room between runs rather than plan a full day around lift access. It holds 63 rooms across three buildings, with capacity for one to six guests per room.
Two room types are offered. The 6-Person Room has three bunk beds, a washbasin and a toilet, and takes up to six guests. The 4-Person Room has four single beds and the same washbasin and toilet setup. Neither room includes pyjamas, and guests use the shared public bath on the first floor. A laundry and a board tune-up room are on site, along with a lounge on the third floor where guests can gather after skiing, bring in their own food and drinks, or use the water dispenser.
For food, an on-site shop operates 24 hours a day, and BeerHouse MATATABI serves drinks and light snacks in the evening with no reservation needed. Further dining sits on the mountain itself: Bandai Shokudo for Aizu specialities such as Bandai Sauce Katsudon, yamacafe for crepes, The Rider's for burgers mid-mountain, and Nekoma Shokudo for ramen and curry. The property is smoke-free, has free Wi-Fi throughout, free luggage lockers, and on-site parking, though it does not offer EV charging or a pet allowance. It opens for the 2026/27 winter season from 12 January to 7 March 2027.
