Overview
The Mark stands on Madison Avenue at 77th Street, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, within walking distance of Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the boutiques of Madison Avenue. Every room and suite was designed by Jacques Grange, who also oversaw the hotel's bathrooms and much of its public space, including furnishings by Guy de Rougemont and Vladimir Kagan in The Mark Bar.
Accommodation ranges from the 400 square foot Madison Queen room to The Mark Penthouse, a 10,000 square foot suite on the sixteenth floor with three king bedrooms, two queen bedrooms, a library lounge, a dining room for twelve and private rooftop terrace access with views over Central Park and the city skyline. Between these sit a run of suites and signature suites, several with eat-in kitchens, dining areas and multiple bathrooms, spread across floors three to twelve.
Dining includes Caviar Kaspia at The Mark, with interiors by Jacques Grange and a menu built around its Twice Baked Potato and a selection of caviars, and The Mark Restaurant & The Mark Bar by Jean-Georges, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. The Mark Bar serves cocktails on a first-come, first-served basis, and a hot dog cart operates outside the hotel by day. Guests also have access to a fitness centre, a Frédéric Fekkai hair salon, a John Lobb shoeshine service and Le Shop, the hotel's retail space.
