Overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Amman stands on Al Kindi Street at the Fifth Circle, a short drive from Rainbow Street, Abdali Boulevard, the Jordan Museum, and the Roman Theatre and Citadel downtown. The building pairs contemporary architecture with Jordanian craftsmanship: marble, warm tones and light-filled public rooms. There are 193 rooms and 34 suites in total, most looking over the city skyline or the western hills, each fitted with featherbeds, 400-thread-count linens and a marble bathroom with a rain shower and tub. Signature suites start at 60 square metres, among the largest in the kingdom, and Club Level rooms add private lounge access with culinary presentations through the day.

Eight restaurants and lounges cover a wide range of registers: Italian fine dining at Roberto's on the 20th floor, Levantine cooking at Kenz Lebanese Café, American bistro fare and live weekend entertainment at Legends, breakfast at Ambros Bistro, afternoon tea at Iris Tea Lounge, a garden setting at Sarab Garden, poolside food at The Pool Grill, and cocktails, whiskey and cigars at The Founder's Room. The Ritz-Carlton Spa holds six treatment rooms, a relaxation pool, steam and sauna rooms, and separate men's and women's lounges, alongside a 24-hour fitness centre with free weights, rowing machines and treadmills. The hotel keeps an indoor pool open year-round and an outdoor pool from May to October.

Beyond the hotel, the Citadel and the Roman Theatre sit a short distance away in central Amman, and the property organises Immersions into Jordanian cuisine, craft and archaeology, along with family-oriented activities for younger guests. A ballroom and event spaces host weddings, conferences and meetings, with an onsite business centre. Queen Alia International Airport is 36 kilometres from the hotel; there is no shuttle service.
