Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix sits on Quai du Mont-Blanc in central Geneva, facing Lake Geneva and the Alps. The building dates to 1865 and once hosted the International Congress of Peace, a meeting that shaped European diplomacy. Today it holds 74 rooms and suites, including the Grace Kelly Suite, named after the actress who stayed there regularly and furnished in an art deco style with gold leaf detailing.

Rooms range from the Classic Garden View, a king room facing the garden, to the Grace Kelly Suite and the two-bedroom Lakefront Suite, which sleeps up to five across two bedrooms with lake views and a balcony. Guests staying in the hotel's Signature Suites receive two-way transfers, daily breakfast, spa access, a hotel credit and a stocked minibar. Dining runs from The Living Room, serving international menus from 7am to 11pm, to Fiskebar, open Wednesday to Saturday under chef Francesca Fucci, and Dans Le Noir?, a weekend dinner served in complete darkness by visually impaired staff. FRED Bar opens nightly from 5pm.

The hotel's La Vallée Spa Suites operate by appointment and are closed on Tuesdays, offering treatments that include a Welnamis bed combining vibrational therapy with sound. Guests have complimentary access to the nearby Holmes Place gym, and the hotel's own fitness centre is open 24 hours. Geneva Airport is 7.3 kilometres away and the hotel does not run a shuttle. The property holds Green Key and Swisstainable Leading Level certification, and has been awarded Two MICHELIN Keys.
