Overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa sits within the grounds of the Kanehide Kise Country Club in Nago City, surrounded on three sides by the club's 18-hole championship course overlooking the ocean. The resort holds 97 guest rooms, four dining outlets and a spa housed in a separate building reached by a short walk through a bamboo tunnel and garden path. Rooms and suites include Deluxe, Bay Deluxe and Premier Deluxe categories in twin or king configurations, alongside ground-floor Cabana rooms with private whirlpools, a Presidential Suite and The Ritz-Carlton Suite. Every room has a terrace.

Dining draws on local markets. Kise serves Okinawan Kuroge Wagyu beef and seafood teppanyaki-style; Riva Ristorante pairs Southern Italian cooking with Okinawan ingredients; Gusuku offers a Western and Ryukyu breakfast buffet and Okinawan dishes at dinner, with Sanshin music in the evening; the Lobby Lounge & Bar serves afternoon tea and cocktails overlooking the sea and fairways. The Ritz-Carlton Spa Okinawa is a two-level retreat adjacent to forest, with a vitality pool, relaxation cabanas, a dry sauna and a Japanese coral-tiled steam room. Treatments draw on local ingredients such as the Getto plant and tiger clam shells. The hotel also has an indoor pool open year-round, an outdoor pool open from April to October, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Golf is central to the property: the adjoining Kanehide Kise Country Club was the first resort golf club in Japan to use Seashore Paspalum turf, and its two nine-hole courses, Umikaji and Yambaru, each play to a par of 36. Activities beyond golf include Yambaru Forest trekking, ocean kayaking, coral seedling planting, Okinawan tea blending and traditional karate instruction, alongside a Ritz Kids programme for children. The hotel has been named a 2026 VERIFIED Responsible Hospitality property by Forbes Travel Guide, awarded a Michelin Key in 2025, and holds Green Key certification. Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 pm; the minimum age to check in is 18. Naha Airport lies roughly 70 kilometres away, and the hotel does not operate its own shuttle.
