Canadian Rockies

Turquoise lakes, the Icefields Parkway and lodges that put the mountains in the window.

Our notes

Banff and Jasper are two hours apart along the Icefields Parkway, arguably the finest drive in North America, and between them sit Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Columbia Icefield. The historic railway hotels have the locations; the newer lodges have the rooms. Summer is for hiking and canoeing, winter for skiing at Lake Louise and Sunshine and for the lakes frozen solid. We arrange the car or a driver, early access to the lakes before the parking fills, helicopter flights over the ranges, and the connection to Vancouver by the Rocky Mountaineer train.
