A 15-suite expedition river yacht launching December 2026, sailing the Marañón, Ucayali and Amazon rivers through Peru's Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
The &Beyond Amazon Explorer is a river yacht built for slow travel through the Peruvian Amazon, scheduled to launch in December 2026. Rainforest textures and Shipibo-inspired patterns run through the interiors, and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the forest in view as it changes through the day. The yacht carries just 15 suites in total, four of which are designed to connect, making the vessel suited to families or groups of friends travelling together. Solar panels are part of the build, intended to lighten the yacht's footprint on the river.
The yacht is arranged over five decks. The lower deck holds the engine room and crew quarters. The main deck is the guest hub, with the main lounge and dining area, a wellness centre and gym, the &Beyond Signature Shop, the Explorer Centre, a media room and the River Retreat. The upper deck holds 12 Luxury Suites, each with twin bed options and a maximum of two guests, eight of which can be configured into four connecting suites. The grand deck houses two Superior Suites, one Deluxe Suite and the Pisco bar. At the top, the sundeck offers loungers and a splash pool with views over the river.
Two itineraries run across the yacht's low water season, from July to early December, and its high water season, from December to June, both tracing the Marañón, Ucayali and Amazon rivers. Each can be booked over three, four or seven nights. Sailing takes in the mirrored waterways of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, home to pink dolphins and jaguars among other Amazonian wildlife. Rates are all-inclusive of meals, soft drinks, house wines, local beers and spirits, Starlink internet, laundry, scheduled transfers between Iquitos Airport and Nauta, and daily excursions such as guided nature walks, skiff outings, kayaking and community visits, all led by trained &Beyond guides. Children aged 8 and over are welcome on scheduled departures, with younger children permitted only on private charters.
