Overview

Deep within the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xaranna Okavango Delta Lodge overlooks a seasonal lagoon in one of Botswana's most remote wilderness areas. The lodge holds nine suites in total, including one Family Suite, within the surrounding vegetation. The property is currently closed and is scheduled to reopen in August 2027.

Each of the standard suites covers 160 square metres and sleeps a maximum of two guests. A private lounge and a shaded pool sala sit alongside uninterrupted delta views that run from bedroom through to bathroom. The Family Suite links two suites by curved passages to a shared central lounge, with a shared deck and a private pool, and covers 404 square metres for up to four guests.

Guiding is built around twice-daily game drives, limited to six guests per vehicle, together with guided walking safaris on foot. When water levels allow, guests can take to the channels by mokoro or motorised boat, or try catch-and-release fishing for tigerfish and tilapia. More than 400 bird species have been recorded in the surrounding delta. Back at the lodge, Healing Earth wellness treatments, yoga and a Technogym-equipped gym are available, alongside a rooftop stargazing nest and the option of a community visit to Sexaxa village near Maun.
