Botswana & the Okavango

Botswana sells fewer permits and charges more for them, which is why it stays quiet. The Okavango Delta is a wetland in the middle of the Kalahari, reached by light aircraft, where camps use both vehicles and mokoro canoes. The Linyanti and Chobe have the elephant. Camps are small, often eight to twelve tents, and prices are all inclusive. The dry season from June to October concentrates game around water; the green season is cheaper, greener and better for birds.
