Overview
The Duba Plains Suite sits on the private Duba Concession in Botswana's Okavango Delta, within the Great Plains Conservation Réserve-Collection. It is a two-bedroom tented suite, raised on decking made from recycled railway sleepers, with a wrap-around private verandah, two private plunge pools and shaded outdoor seating. Guests travel with a private vehicle, a dedicated wildlife guide, a private host and a chef, all included with the stay.
Inside, a central lounge and dining area sits between the two bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities that include indoor and outdoor showers and a bath. Fans and a solar-powered air-conditioning system are fitted over the bed areas. The suite offers a professional camera and a selection of lenses for complimentary use during the stay, with wildlife images and video downloaded for guests to take home at the end of their visit. High-quality binoculars are also provided.
The surrounding concession is known for a high density of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, lechwe and buffalo, along with occasional sightings of aardwolf and pangolin. Game viewing takes place by open vehicle, on guided walks, and by mokoro or boat when water levels allow. The Duba Plains Suite is a member of Relais & Châteaux.
