Overview
Kokomo Private Island sits on Yaukuve Island in the Kadavu group, reached from Nadi by a Twin Otter seaplane or an AS350 helicopter, both operated by the resort. The transfer takes between 45 and 60 minutes and passes over the Great Astrolabe Reef. Guests arriving on the same day are asked to land in Nadi before 3pm, and a dedicated transfer lounge is available at Nadi Airport before departure.
Accommodation is split between five hillside Residences and twenty-one Beachfront Villas arranged along the island's two beaches. The Residences, named Namara, Sunset, Astrolabe, Dravuni and Ocean, range from 437 to 1,523 square metres and sleep between six and twelve guests. Each comes with a dedicated house butler and nanny, a private buggy and an in-residence barbecue with a private chef once during the stay. The Beachfront Villas come in seven configurations, from a 280 square metre one-bedroom villa sleeping two to a 472 square metre three-bedroom villa sleeping six, and each has its own infinity pool, a walled tropical garden and direct beach access. Interiors combine Fijian design with artwork by Chris Kenyon.
Food is served across three restaurants: Walker D'Plank, an Asian-style street food restaurant and bar set over the water near the arrival jetty; Beach Shack, with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that change daily and ocean views; and Kokocabana, serving Mediterranean dishes including woodfire pizza and lobster rolls. Wellness facilities include the Yaukuve Spa Sanctuary, a fitness centre and a programme called Movement, and the resort periodically hosts visiting practitioners, including a holistic healing specialist scheduled for late September 2026. Activities on offer include diving, fishing, non-motorised watersports, a private picnic at Namara Beach, a children's programme called Kaji Club and a traditional kava ceremony. The resort also runs Ocean and Island sustainability initiatives focused on its surrounding reef and community.
