Overview

Spatia Comporta sits close to the village of Comporta, on Portugal's Atlantic coast, where pine woods run down toward the sea and the Arrábida hills rise across the bay. The buildings combine modern, clean-lined architecture with the region's traditional building crafts, and are arranged to give each guest privacy within the surrounding pinewoods and fields. The property is registered as a rural hotel under two licences, Spatia Comporta I and Spatia Comporta II.

Accommodation is divided into four categories. Rooms have floor space of more than 40 square metres, with high wooden ceilings and an outdoor relaxation area looking out over pines and fields. Villas use the same contemporary architecture and open onto outdoor areas. Cabanas have thatched roofs, solid oak finishings and an open bathroom with a large rain shower, plus a private garden and a south-facing terrace with a hammock and lounger looking over the pine forest. Estates stand on plots of up to 9 hectares, with 2.5-metre sliding doors that connect interiors directly to patios and private pools. Bathrooms throughout are stocked with Oliófora amenities made for Spatia.

Dining runs across several venues: ŌRA, the signature restaurant, serves Atlantic and Alentejo dishes each evening from 6pm to 10pm, while NESTO offers an Asian-inspired dinner in summer with sushi, seafood and curries. Spatia Club and Colmo Club serve breakfast, light meals and snacks through the day, and a Pool Bar operates at Colmo Club. In-room dining runs from midday to 9.30pm. Facilities include family and adult-only heated swimming pools, a Wellness Room, a Fitness Pavilion with Technogym equipment, a glass-walled Yoga Pavilion, EV charging, bike riding and tennis, padel and pickleball courts for hotel guests. A Tennis & Padel Program with Rackets Pro Academy coaches runs from 19 June to 30 August, and an Alentejo BBQ night with live music takes place every Monday from 22 July to 16 September.
