Overview

Stock Exchange Hotel occupies the former Manchester Stock Exchange on Norfolk Street, between Market Street and King Street. The Grade II listed building was designed by Bradshaw, Gass and Hope, built between 1904 and 1906, and opened on 13 December 1906. Original marble, brass and woodwork have been restored, and the former boardroom and trading floor remain part of the hotel's structure today.

The hotel has seven room and suite categories, from the John Gass Collection Rooms at 20 to 25 square metres through to The House, a 346 square metre penthouse with three king beds and its own roof terrace. The Boardroom Suite, reached by a private staircase, keeps the original marble pillars and wood panelling of the Stock Exchange boardroom. Dining is centred on tender, run by two-Michelin-starred chef Niall Keating, set on the restored original trading floor beneath its domed ceiling. The Drawing Room bar sits within the same space, and Sterling Bar occupies the old bank vault beneath the hotel. The Bank, the former boardroom, is available for private dining and events for up to 14 guests.

The hotel does not have an on-site gym or spa, but guests have complimentary access to King Street Gym, a two-minute walk away, with a pool, sauna, steam room and full gym. Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria stations are both 0.8 miles from the hotel, and the Market Street Metrolink stop is 0.3 miles away. Stock Exchange Hotel joined Autograph Collection Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy, in December 2024.
