Riyadh & Jeddah

A capital building at speed and a Red Sea port with a coral stone old town.

Our notes

Riyadh is the business capital and is changing faster than almost any city on earth, with the international hotel brands arriving accordingly. Jeddah is older, looser and on the water, and its Al Balad district of coral stone merchant houses is a World Heritage site worth a guide. AlUla, with the Nabataean tombs at Hegra, is a short flight from either and is the cultural reason most visitors come. Winter is the season; summer in Riyadh is extreme. We will brief you on dress and customs before you travel.
