Overview
COMO Canggu sits on Jalan Pantai Batu Mejan at Echo Beach, on Bali's south coast, a 90-minute drive from the airport. The resort's 119 rooms and suites look out over either the lagoon pool or the coastline, and twelve three-bedroom duplex COMO Penthouses add rooftop pools and private butler service for guests who want more space. Two- and three-bedroom residences are also available, suited to families travelling together.
Food centres on COMO Beach Club, an all-day venue built around the idea of a surf shack, serving cocktails by night and healthy fare by day; Glow Juice Bar covers lighter, grab-and-go meals of cold-pressed juice, smoothies and salads. The COMO Shambhala Kitchen runs through both, with raw, vegan and plant-based dishes alongside sustainably sourced seafood. Sunday brunch runs from 11am to 3pm, with a monthly dog-friendly version at COMO Beach Club. Wellness facilities include a fitness centre with two Pilates studios and two yoga studios, two swimming pools (a lagoon pool also used for surf tuition, and a lap pool at COMO Beach Club), eight treatment rooms (six single, two double) and steam facilities, open from 10am to 7pm daily.
Surf lessons run through Tropicsurf for beginners through to advanced surfers, taking advantage of the breaks at Echo Beach and Batu Bolong nearby. Children aged four to twelve have their own space at Play by COMO, with a dedicated surfing programme for ages six to twelve; those under five eat free when a parent orders an a la carte dish, and six to twelve year-olds get fifty per cent off. Further afield, the resort arranges trips to Tanah Lot temple, twelve kilometres northwest, a purification ceremony at Tirta Empul, and cycling or hiking excursions around Ubud and Mount Batur. COMO Canggu holds EarthCheck Silver Certification, with more than 96 per cent of ingredients sourced locally and programmes covering beach clean-ups and waste-to-biogas processing.
