Resort · Ubud, Indonesia
Five minutes by shuttle from Ubud town, COMO Uma Ubud sets 46 suites and plunge-pool villas against the Tjampuhan Valley, with a COMO Shambhala wellness retreat and three places to eat.
COMO Uma Ubud sits on Jalan Raya Sanggingan in Banjar Lungsiakan, about 90 minutes by car from Ngurah Rai International Airport and a five-minute daily shuttle from Ubud town centre. The resort holds 46 suites, arranged along green planted corridors in a style drawing on traditional Indonesian design, together with larger villas that have their own landscaped courtyards and infinity plunge pools. Several hiking routes, including the Tjampuhan Ridge Walk to Tjampuhan Temple and the River Oos, begin at the front door.
Wellness runs through the property via the COMO Shambhala Retreat, set high in the Tjampuhan Valley with views over the River Oos. It has four treatment rooms, a yoga pavilion overlooking the jungle, a fitness centre and a 25-metre outdoor pool at the centre of the resort. Guests can join daily yoga sessions and morning walks at no extra cost, along with a scheduled shuttle to and from Ubud town and an in-room yoga mat with meditation videos on the television. Three venues cover dining: Kemiri serves breakfast and dinner built on traditional Indonesian dishes and interpretations of neighbouring cuisines; Uma Cucina, at the front of the resort, serves Italian-inspired food from a street-side setting; and Uma Bar, by the pool, pours wine, Champagne and the resort's own Martinis alongside light meals. Private dining can be arranged on a terrace or a lantern-lit lawn, and a semi-private area beside Kemiri is used by families.
The resort was named Best Resort in the World in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards and placed first among the Top 10 Resorts in Indonesia the same year. It holds an EarthCheck Silver certification for its environmental and cultural practices.
