Overview
Costa Navarino occupies four areas, Navarino Dunes, Navarino Bay, Navarino Hills and the still-to-be-developed Navarino Blue, spread across 1,000 hectares in Messinia, on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, near the town of Pylos. The destination takes its name from King Nestor of ancient Pylos. Four five-star resorts operate here: The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino in Navarino Dunes; Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, and W Costa Navarino in Navarino Bay. The wider region has a documented history spanning 4,500 years, from Neolithic settlements to Mycenaean palaces and medieval castles.
Golf is a central part of the destination: four signature 18-hole courses, The Dunes Course, The Bay Course, the International Olympic Academy Golf Course and The Hills Course, sit within 13 kilometres of one another. The Bay Course, a par-71 layout, was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Wellness is centred on three spas, including the 4,000 square-metre Anazoe Spa at Navarino Dunes, which has 21 treatment rooms and draws on ancient Greek health and beauty practices. Guests can choose among more than 40 dining venues across the resorts, from beachfront seafood tavernas to an omakase-style pizza counter and a taverna reimagined by a Michelin-starred chef. Sport extends to the Mouratoglou Tennis Center, with 12 tennis courts, three padel courts, two pickleball courts and a squash court, an NBA Basketball School, and a Water Sports Centre in Navarino Bay. Families are catered for with Sandcastle and Cocoon kids' clubs, Aqua Parks with water slides at both Navarino Dunes resorts, and Dunes Beach, a stretch of more than a kilometre of Ionian coastline.
Costa Navarino Residences offers freehold villas for private ownership within Navarino Dunes, close to the beach or set among olive groves. Within the resorts, accommodation ranges from Deluxe Rooms of around 40 square metres to multi-bedroom Royal Villas with private pools, gyms, spas and dining rooms seating up to 18 guests. Nearby Gialova lagoon is a stopover for migratory birds, sheltering 271 of the 442 species recorded in Greece, and the region's climate averages around 25°C across the year.
