Overview
Le Taha'a by Pearl Resorts sits on the Tautau motu, off the main island of Taha'a in French Polynesia. It was the first Relais & Châteaux establishment in the country, and looks across the lagoon toward the silhouette of Bora Bora. The resort holds 59 suites and villas, all with direct access to either the lagoon or the beach.
Accommodation is split between overwater suites and beach villas. The overwater suites, including the Taha'a, Taha'a Premium, Sunset, Bora Bora and End of Pontoon categories, each measure around 90 square metres and include a glass floor panel over the lagoon. Pool Beach Villas and Premium Pool Beach Villas cover about 180 square metres, with a separate bedroom, living room and private plunge pool. Two Royal Pool Beach Villas form the largest category, at roughly 260 square metres, each with two pools and access to a private well-being area. Every room displays original artwork by Polynesian artists: Louis Devienne created the pieces for the overwater suites and beach villas, while Haumani Stanley and Évrard Chaussoy made the artworks for the two Royal Villas.
Dining runs across three restaurants, Hawaiki Nui, Titiraina and Tipairua, along with the Manuia Bar, the Tiki Bar and an ice cream parlour. The Tāvai Spa faces the resort's inner lagoon, where water lilies and lotus flowers float, and offers Polynesian massage alongside a sauna and two relaxation areas. Guests can join drift snorkelling in the coral garden at the edge of the motu, or arrange excursions to explore the pearl farms of Taha'a, known locally as the Vanilla Island.
