Chalet · Val d'Isere, France
A ski-in ski-out hotel in the centre of Val d'Isère, with direct access to 300 kilometres of slopes and interiors by Christophe Tollemer.
Overview
Airelles Val d'Isère sits in the centre of the village, with direct ski-in ski-out access to the resort's 300 kilometres of slopes. The hotel is closed for renovation and is due to reopen in December 2026. Its facade follows the Savoyard style of the surrounding stone chalets, a short walk from the village's baroque church and bell tower and from La Grande Ourse.
The hotel has 41 rooms and suites, including five private apartments and a separate chalet, Chalet Schuss. Interiors are by Christophe Tollemer, combining Alpine period furnishings with contemporary comfort. Chalet Schuss spans 250 square metres over two floors, with four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and dressing room, and a separate kitchen. Three restaurants operate on site: La Grande Ourse for Savoyard dishes such as fondue, raclette and croziflette; Palladio, run by executive chef Adrien Tupin Bron, for Italian cooking with Venetian touches; and Matsuhisa, the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant associated with chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The hotel's Bar serves pizza, arancini and cocktails through the day, and Le Bar Rouge and Le Fumoir open in the evening.
The Airelles Spa by Guerlain covers 1,200 square metres, with a 20-metre indoor pool, a hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, a gym fitted with TechnoGym equipment and a juice bar. Children have their own pool area, styled as a grotto, a private cinema and access to the Winter Camp, which runs a Junior Ski Club and Kids Club. The hotel also runs a Ski Lounge with Bernard Orcel for equipment hire, and has a Vanille & Lilas boutique alongside a Moncler store, both on site at 145 Rue de la Poste.
