Overview
The Alpina Gstaad sits in the Saanenland, built with the region's own craft traditions. Its 56 rooms and suites are finished with hand-built fireplaces made from local stone, period painted furniture, carved wooden ceilings and private terraces looking out over the Alps. The property groups its accommodation into six categories, from Deluxe Rooms up through Junior Suites, Deluxe Suites and Grand Luxe Suites, to the three-bedroom Chalet Suite and Panorama Residence for larger parties.
Dining runs across four venues: Megu for Japanese cuisine, Monti for sharing-style dishes, the Swiss Stübli for traditional fare, and the Alpina Lounge and Terrace. A Cigar Lounge and a Japanese Whisky Bar sit alongside them. From summer 2026, chef Francesco De Bartolomeis is introducing new dining formats and residency concepts across these spaces. The hotel also holds Switzerland's first Six Senses Spa, with indoor and outdoor pools, biohacking treatments, wellness programmes and a dedicated Sports & Fitness offer, open to hotel guests and to locals from Gstaad.
Outside the hotel, the Saanenland supplies the activity list: skiing, snowboarding, heliskiing, cross-country skiing and ice skating in winter; hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata, kayaking and rafting in summer. A Kids World caters to younger guests, and the hotel runs meeting facilities for groups. The hotel closes for the off-season each year, reopening for winter in December.
