Overview

Above the village of Megève, Les Chalets du Mont d'Arbois is made up of three chalets, Ève, Noémie and Alice, named after three daughters of Ariane and Benjamin de Rothschild. Together they hold 40 rooms and suites, furnished in part from the Edmond de Rothschild family's private collection. The property's roots go back to 1920, when Noémie de Rothschild began turning the then-wild Mont d'Arbois plateau into one of France's first ski resorts, work that included architect Henri-Jacques Le Même's early chalet designs and that the family has continued to shape for over a century.

The Spa Susanne Kaufmann sits at the centre of the house, built around a heated indoor-outdoor pool facing the mountains, a sauna and a fitness centre, with three treatment rooms, one designed for two people. Treatments use products from the Austrian brand Susanne Kaufmann, formulated with natural ingredients sourced from the Alps. The spa is open to guests aged 16 and over. Summer brings a long list of activities arranged through the hotel, from golf on an 18-hole course and tennis to paragliding, rafting, hiking, mountain biking and a children's playroom, with a weekly Friday evening film night for younger guests.

For family stays or private events, Chalet Alice, with eight bedrooms, private lounges and its own spa, and Chalet Noémie, with seven bedrooms, can each be booked in their entirety. Rooms range from the 23 square metre Alpine Double to the 140 square metre three-bedroom Suite Noémie, most with balconies facing the Megève valley. The hotel reopens for the 2026 winter season on 18 December, with reservations now open.
