Overview

Nobu Riad occupies a 19th-century merchant's house behind high walls in Marrakech's historic medina, a two-minute walk from Jemaa El Fna square. The building has been restored using local materials: tadelakt plaster, brick and clay walls, and terracotta floors, heated and cooled with solar and biomass energy. The six guest suites sit across the ground and first floors, arranged around a central courtyard that opens onto the living and dining areas. A rooftop terrace on the second floor looks over the city and the Atlas Mountains, including the Koutoubia minaret.

Each suite, between 20 and 55 square metres, has its own fireplace and bathroom. Rooms are finished with handcrafted tadelakt walls, high ceilings with eucalyptus and walnut beams, and furnished with antique Berber artifacts. Three further suites sit on the first floor, including the Royal Suite, which has its own private hammam. Downstairs, a 150-square-metre courtyard shaded by palms holds a fountain and seating. The rooftop has a heated pool, day beds, a private bar and a traditional hammam, available with an optional therapist.

The entire property is taken by one party, up to 12 guests, with a private chauffeur, housekeeping and turn-down service included. Food can be ordered from the Nobu Restaurant or Rooftop Garden menus, or arranged through a private chef; meals are served in the dining room or on the rooftop terrace. A spa therapist, personal trainer or yoga teacher can be arranged on request, alongside rooftop yoga sessions. The riad is a five-minute car transfer, or a fifteen-minute walk past the Koutoubia mosque, from Nobu Hotel Marrakech, where guests also have access to the hotel's restaurants and services. The airport transfer takes under 20 minutes, with parking at the front door.
